LIU Launches Career Department The Lebanese International University’s new career department was launched on May 7, 2009, coinciding with the university’s fourth career fair. His Excellency Abd el Raheem Mourad and Minister of Labor Dr Mohamad Fneish attended, as well as the chairmen, instructors and students of the university. Ninety-two companies and institutions attended the event, and set up displays in kiosks. The companies present were very diverse, ranging from the fashion to software fields and everything in between. The career department will provide students with a launching pad from their education to the workplace.   GDES Senior Students Exhibition The Fine Arts & Design Department at the Lebanese International University (LIU) held its Graphic Design Senior Year Students Exhibition (Studio IV & V) on Friday, January 22nd from 6-9PM at Beirut campus-Auditoriums 1 & 2. The exhibition was broadcasted live on the internet.   Venezuelan Ambassador Attends Book Signing at LIU Ambassador of Venezuela Soad Karam and LIU president H.E. Abdul Rahim Mourad attended a book signing at LIU’s Beirut branch. The book is a compilation of Venezuelan poetry translated into Arabic. It is the first book to be published by LIU’s new printing press.
