" Opening of Cloud 9 – The Restaurant Service Lab "

To compete and thrive in today's global economy a successful development strategy must focus on improving the skills of the area's workforce making the resources business needs available and accessible to our students.

The Hospitality and Tourism Management Department gladly announces the opening of Cloud 9 - The Restaurant Service Lab - in block F room 906. The lab has recently been equipped with needed utensils to simulate restaurant service. Furthermore, an up-to-date point of sale (POS) Bimpos system has been supplied as well to provide our students with needed technological skills. Ever since the lab has been equipped, HORECA competitions training took place in and LIU students won the top three ranks in the Bistronomy Arts of Service competitions on March 22nd with one gold and two silver medals. Further, normal classes started to run for Restaurant Management course students in Beirut campus and a full-day workshop has been provided for Restaurant Management course students of Saida and Mount Lebanon Campuses, with two more workshops on the agenda for Tripoli, Rayak, & Nabatieh campuses.
