Miss I’tidal Reslane, a Bachelor of Biomedical Science graduate (2018) has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright scholarship to pursue her studies the University of Nebraska in the U.S.

Miss Reslane has maintained an outstanding GPA of 3.7 throughout her studies at LIU. After completing with great success all the needed qualifying exams she was selected among 300 applicants for this scholarship which covers all her expenses while in the U.S.

The Fulbright Program is an American scholarship program of competitive, merit-based grants for international educational exchange for students, scholars, teachers, professionals, scientists and artists founded by the Unites States Senator J. William Fulbright in 1946.

This is not the first time that I’tidal earns an international scholarship. In the summer of 2016, I’tidal was awarded the Global UGRAD scholarship that was administered by World Learning on behalf of the US department of State’s bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Global UGRAD provides one semester scholarships for outstanding students from around the world for non-degree full-time study combined with community service, professional development and cultural enrichment.

Congratulations to I’tidal, LIU and the BMED department on this achievement and looking forward for many more successes in the years to come.
