Reading Day in Tyre Campus

Reading as a whole has a significant number of benefits including: mental stimulation, stress reduction, knowledge, vocabulary expansion, memory improvement, stronger critical thinking skills, improved focus, tranquility, and better writing skills.

School of Education (SoED) LIU Tyre Campus has held the first Reading Day, "Read and Change the World!" on Wednesday, MAY 16th, 2018 at 8:00 - 15:30 PM in LIU, Tyre Campus.

"The “Reading Day” event in Tyre Campus was unique and very fruitful. Though it was a pilot project, it turned out to be a tremendous success. Students were quite motivated to buy stories and read them. They were all there working hand in hand on task –based activities related to the story assigned by each of the instructors. Most of them hadn’t read stories in a long time, so when they were given the opportunity, their morale was at an all-time high. The atmosphere was quite lively, it was simply “Learning with Fun.”
