The School of Business at the Lebanese International University – Nabatieh Campus – held an on - campus Iftar for orphans on Thursday, May 30, 2019.
Lead by the SoBU Assistant Dean at Nabatieh Campus, Mr. Hassan Houmani, a team of SoBU instructors, namely Ms. Dana Hayek – Marketing instructor, Mrs. Farah Rammal – Finance instructor, and Mrs. Sarah Wehbe – Hospitality instructor, along with 50 Business students who helped in all preparation and hosting aspects, hosted an Iftar for the Al-Mabarrat and Al-Imdad orphans’ associations to share the values of the Holy month of Ramadan. The generous contributions of numerous sponsors, namely the Red Cross Organization, Nassif Jomaa Events, Al-Mahabba Roses, El-Reda Photography, Pianissimo Music Store, Kasr Al-Moulouk Restaurant, Al-Kalaa Resort, Ahmad Al-Abdallah Chicken, Chocolate Bar, Al-Sultan Sweets, Farajallah Al-Dakdouk Fruits, and Imam Mahdi Scouts, made this event a successful one

Once arrived on campus, kids spent a joyful time playing with inflatable toys, face painting, and numerous games and activities organized by the Red Cross team. Hosted by SoBU students in collaboration with the sponsors, all guests enjoyed a delicious dinner with a wide selection of food, desserts, sweets, and fruits, accompanied by Oud playing. Moreover, a magic show added excitement and fun to all attendees. And to fill the heart of the kids with joy, gifts were distributed to them simultaneously with lighting lanterns and sending their hopes to the sky. In addition, to value the contribution of the students and sponsors, certificates of participation were handed to students and trophies of appreciation were given to sponsors, capturing those precious and unforgettable memories as a team, rather, a family.
All this was made possible with the help, support, and encouragement of the SoBU Dean, Dr. Farid Abdallah, and Nabatieh Campus Directors, Mr. Wael Rabah and Dr. Hassan Khachfe, who believed in our intention and capabilities to hold such an event.
