   Vision
   The vision of the admission Unit is to position LIU to become a nationally recognized body for generating high-caliber students. The Unit is committed to achieving the university’s enrollment goals while promoting diversity at all levels. The Unit strives to build a service environment where the staff is energetic, caring, and has a student-centered attitude while embracing technology and promoting professional best practices.

   Mission
   The mission of the admission Unit is to attract, recruit, admit, and enroll a student body based on an open admission policy associated with University Placement Tests (UPTs). Following students closely from admission to graduation and providing competent, respectful and efficient professional services ensures that LIU graduates are academically talented, distinguished in leadership and global engagement.

   The vision of the Registrar unit at LIU is to reduce enrollment barriers; authorize students to steer administrative processes and policy by providing accurate information, instruction, and guidance via multiple communication channels. The unit shall provide consistent high quality student-centered services with a caring and motivated staff while facilitating the needs of the University. The unit will strive toward continually cultivating and technologically transforming services; inspiring staff toward collaboration and creativity as well as personal and professional growth.

   The mission of the Registrar unit at LIU is adhering to the University’s strategic priorities of providing responsive and accessible enrollment related services, student success, accountability and excellence in fulfilling its fundamental responsibilities of course scheduling and registration, student records, graduation, degree audit, and academic catalogs. The Office is dedicated to high ethical and professional values in all areas; maintaining accuracy, integrity, and privacy of student records by adhering to academic policy and standards related to registration, conferral of course credit, degrees, and other credentials.
