From Tradition to Transformation: The Global Shift toward Digital Banking

The school of Business-Finance Department at Lebanese International University (LIU), Saida Campus, organized a successful seminar on December 10, 2025 titled “From Tradition to Transformation… The Global Shift toward Digital Banking”.

The event opened with a speech delivered by Ms. Rim Shareef from the Finance Department, in which she emphasized that the banking sector is entering a phase of significant change and development, noting that job opportunities remain available and are expected to grow as banks expand their digital services and adopt modern technologies. A professional team from Bank Audi also delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the current developments in the sector, with a particular focus on Neobanks, which rely on more flexible and innovative operating models and play a key role in reshaping banking services and enhancing customer experience. The Finance Department extended its appreciation to the university administration for its continued support and reaffirmed its commitment to organizing further specialized events that strengthen students’ connection to the financial industry and future job markets.

نظّمت كلية ادارة الاعمال- قسم المالية في الجامعة اللبنانية الدولية، فرع صيدا، ندوة ناجحة بتاريخ 10 كانون الأوّل 2025  تحت عنوان " من التقليد الى التحول...التحول العالمي نحو الخدمات المصرفية الرقمية".

 افتُتحت الندوة بكلمة قدّمتها الأستاذة ريم الشريف من قسم المالية، حيث شدّدت على أنّ القطاع المصرفي مقبل على مرحلة من التغيير والتطوّر، وأنّ فرص العمل ما زالت متاحة وستزداد مع توسّع الخدمات الرقمية واعتماد التقنيات الحديثة في العمل المصرفي. كما قدّم الفريق المهني من بنك عوده عرضاً شاملاً تناول التطوّرات الراهنة في القطاع، مع تركيز خاص على النيو بنك Neo Banks)) الذي يعتمد على نماذج تشغيل أكثر مرونة وابتكارا ودوره في إعادة تشكيل الخدمات المصرفية وتطوير تجربة العملاء. وفي ختام الندوة، توجّه قسم المالية بالشكر لإدارة الجامعة على دعمها، مؤكداً التزامه بمواصلة تنظيم فعاليات متخصّصة تعزّز صلة الطلاب بالقطاع المالي وأسواق العمل المستقبلية.
