Tenses & Traditions

As part of the MED2IaH project, the Lebanese International University organized its first Intercultural Activity in Beirut Campus

In the upcoming months, LIU will be organizing similar activities across all campuses. The aim of these activities is to raise awareness among LIU students about different cultures around the world.

Description and Procedure of the Activity:
- In pairs, students prepared a short presentation about the popular traditions of a country of their choice (One of the countries participating in the MED2IaH project).
- Students who wished to participate had to fill an excel sheet that specifies the chosen country as well as the traditions they will highlight during their presentation.
- Students were given one week to prepare for their presentation, during which they had access to the university's database and library.
- An email was sent to all students to inform them about the activity. If interested, they had to fill in a Google Form to confirm their attendance.
- On the day of the activity, an introduction to the project was given by one of the project representatives. In addition, a short video of the work done so far as well as the Boot Camp in Slovenia was presented.
- After that, each pair presented their findings to all the students. At the end of their presentation, they each implemented a short quiz/game (MCQ or 2 Truths and a Lieā€¦).
- The focus was on both the correct use of the English Language as well as the culture and traditions of the partner countries.
