Historically (2015-2021), twelve of PhD students were co-supervised by LIU faculty members in partnerships with different universities in the world, particularly Europe where PhD projects has been ongoing with universities in France such as Ecole Nationale Superieure de Mecanique et d'Aerotechnique, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, Université de Technologie de Compiègne, Université d'Angers, Centrale-Supélec (Rennes), University of Bordeaux, University of Nice, University of Aix-Marseille, University of Angers, University of Nantes, and Université de Technologie de Compiègne. Also there had been PhD projects with universities in Russia (Saint Petersburg Mining University and Moscow State University of Civil Engineering), PhD project with Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain, PhD project with University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy, PhD projects with University of Wollongong in Australia, and PhD project with Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. However, currently in the School of Engineering, there are sixteen PhD students co-supervised by LIU faculty members in partnerships with different universities in the world, particularly Europe with universities in France: Université de Technologie de Compiègne, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, Université d'Angers, AllianSTIC Lab, EFREI University (Paris), University of Nantes, Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, Grenoble Alpes University, GIPSA-Lab, UBS Lab-STICC (Lorient), in addition to University of the Basque Country (Spain), University of Rome Tor Vergata, and K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Iran
