RANKING AND RANKING PROMOTION

The Ranking and Ranking-Promotion Conditions are summarized in Ranking and Ranking Promotion Guide ( Login to UMS ). The objective of this Ranking and Ranking-Promotion Guide is to provide a quick access to the Ranking and Ranking-Promotion Requirements and Conditions of Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees holders for both Non-Clinical & Clinical Tracks. The Ranking takes place at the employment inception of either a Full-Time or a Part-Time faculty member while the Ranking-Promotion takes place periodically after joining LIU. There are five ranks for each track progressively as follows: Instructor/Clinical Instructor, Lecturer/Clinical Lecturer, Assistant Professor/Clinical Assistant Professor, Associate Professor/Clinical Associate Professor, and Professor/Clinical Professor. Ranking corresponds to giving one of the above ranks to a newly hired faculty member and ranking promotion corresponds to changing the rank of a faculty member to a higher rank.
