ABOUT THE OFFICE

The Public Affairs and Communications Office (PA&C) leads the public relations and communications functions of LIU. Plans and executes a comprehensive, proactive public relations strategy that advances the University’s mission, strategic goals, and objectives by building support for and an understanding of its unique role. The PA&C is responsible for carrying out operating policies and procedures with a focus in the area of media and public relations, governmental relations, community relations, business and industry relations, crisis communication, and internal and external communications. Furthermore, the office coordinates the Alumni and Career Service Units and works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, alumni and other entities in developing, coordinating and maintaining positive communication efforts to reach and engage target audiences, social stakeholders and general public with the greatest efficiency and impact that sustain and strengthen LIU’s image and reputation.
